Spring Fitness Dog Walk with Village Health and Wellness Center

Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 9 am — We've joined with the Village Health and Wellness Center to have a fun Spring walk on the trails through Woodside. Let's all get some fitness and friendship going with each other and our dogs. An early morning healthy breakfast (fruit for humans and biscuits for our dogs) will be served. Afterwards we'll talk about health issues for all of us, and prizes will be given for the best t-shirts! Exercise is more fun when you have a partner and what better partner than your best friend?

Directions to Village Health and Wellness Center: Turn left from Silverbluff Road into the Village at Woodside, turn right before the gate entrance to Woodside and the Fitness Center is in the far right corner.

Woofstock Music Festival — Celebrating Dogs, Cats, and Their People

Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 10:30 am to 3 pm — Meet us at the fantastic new Aiken County Animal Shelter, where this year's Woofstock Music Festival is being held. Bring your family and your pets (maybe you'll fall in love with a new "person" and adopt). Lots of things will be happening – food, games, music, tours, and Doc Holly will be there to talk about our Golden Paws Society (a wellness program targeting our elderly pets ages 10 and older). We're also sponsoring a Heartworm Clinic (Have a Heart) where all proceeds will go to the Shelter. Heartworm tests will only be $15.

15th Annual Paws for Cancer Walk

Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 8 am, Odell Weeks Recreation Center — Has it really been 15 years since Doc Holly and her friend, Lynn Drinkwater, started the first dog walk in South Carolina for cancer? All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life (thus far, more than $100,000 has been raised). It is a wonderful way to spend a morning, paying tribute, and remembering our family, friends and pets who have lost their lives to cancer. There will be special "touches and giveaways" this year. Call us (803-648-5489), email Chuck at, or be patient... we'll have an application online soon!
