This is to ensure that there have been no breaks in administering the tablets, and, if positive, we can jump on the treatment before life- threatening problems occur. We suggest year round prevention with Interceptor or the injection, ProHeart6.

For a very reasonable price, we will obtain values in urine, chemistry (liver, kidney, thyroid, electrolytes), red and white blood cells and a heartworm test. Sometimes our pets show no symptoms of a problem when there really is one. Having a baseline for comparison in case a problem does suddenly appear is very helpful in starting a treatment program quickly. You know the old adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"!
